Chandra Babu Naidu Creates All Time Record became Chief Minister for the third time, after he was administer oath by Governor Narasimhan at a glittering ceremony attended by various Union Ministers and other dignitaries on Sunday evening. Governor ESL Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chandrababu at 7.27 pm.A host of dignitaries, including 15 Union ministers, six Chief Ministers of various states, film stars and veteran BJP leaders attended the event.
Naidu was attracted towards politics at an early age, and joined Youth Congress as a student leader in Chandragiri, near Tirupati.He was the state's youngest assembly member and youngest minister at 28 and served as the longest chief minister of the state from 1995 to 2004. Many call him India's only politician with a 21st century vision and perhaps the only chief minister in independent India whose objectives and achievements are difficult to describe without using terms out of classic management texts. He has won a number of awards, including IT Indian of the Millennium from India Today, Business Person of the Year by The Economic Times, South Asian of the Year from Time Asia and membership in the World Economic Forum's Dream Cabinet. After 10 years of opposition, Chandra Babu is given one more chance and there are super expectations on the leader to deliver. Also there is an atmosphere in the state where people expect both development and welfare activities which can not co-exist especially when you have a deficit budget. Naidu, who was once considered as the poster boy for economic reforms and was branded as an anti-farmer CM, this time would sign the first file after taking oath pertaining to waiver of crop loans to display his commitment to the welfare of rural people. According to sources, the CM-designate will put his signature on the farm loan waiver file at 8.45 pm on Sunday.
